“There is only one rule for being a good talker-Learn to listen.”
Being smart doesn’t solitary mean getting high grades, certificates and diplomas, it also means knowing when to hear someone and knowing when to listen. Hearing is a physical ability that we are all born with, however, listening is a skill we should all aim to achieve. Something also as equally important is knowing when to talk and when not to talk. Why speak if we have nothing meaningful to say? Listen and silent are spelled with the same letters, think about it 🙂 At a certain point, excessive talking and arguing is just pointless and unproductive. God has created us with ears and given us the ability of hearing for a reason, so we can use them!!The same goes for our brain, if we don’t use it then what differentiates us humans from animals? Listening truly is one of the most important keys of success. Not only is it essential for communication but also for understanding what goes around us and understanding what people around us are going through. You can hear both a baby’s cry and his laugh and instantly know how he/she feels. If everyone where to understand that example and take it into consideration as a lifestyle, the world would truly be a more peaceful and better place.
“We have but two ears and one mouth so that we may listen twice as much as we speak.” -Thomas Edison
