New York, New York- the city were dreams come true, where the impossible loses the ‘im’ and where everyone is given a chance to shine. The city that never sleeps.
As mentioned by superstar Jay-Z and Alicia keys in their hit single Empire State of Mind,” These streets will make you feel brand new, big lights will inspire you, there’s nothing you can’t do, let’s hear it for New York.”
I can’t help but start with Times Square, my breath was truly taken by its mesmerizing spirit and endless beauty. If you’re seeking inspiration, visit Times Square. What’s so inspiring about a bunch of billboards and screens covered with adds? The hard work and passion that was put in each and every dream, idea and creation so it can afford being presented in Times Square. It is also the hub of Broadway which is the heart of New York. I had the honor of watching Frozen on Broadway and I am still in awe of it. The magic was real and I felt it, and treasured every second of it. “Elsa, do you want to build a snowman?”
Central Park is also a masterpiece itself, having taken up to 20 years of building and having more than 20,000 trees planted. It is an escape to all city residents for a quick break or a fresh new start.
It is the city of diversity and equality. From whites to blacks to yellows to gingers, everyone is respected and everyone is equal. You walk into CVS and see 4 different cashiers, one Afro, one Asian, one Arab and one English.
“New York is the city that other cities can only dream of being.” From Brooklyn to Manhattan to Harlem to Bronx, there is strength in diversity and power in unity.
“Dear New York, I’ll never get over you.”
