Sometimes it is easier to lose our own suffering in the collective pain. Collective pain, as in a common pain we humans share. Just like it’s always easy to lose ourselves in the sea of others. Because at least that’ll make us forget about our own pain and heartbreak. However, the ugly truth is that ignoring something doesn’t make it go away. This statement is an obvious one, but like many truths, it’s not easy to accept. You can push back your emotions all you want, but ignoring them will not make them go away. Whatever you are doing to deal with them is temporary. So if you think that drinking or distancing yourself from everyone will make your pain go away, then think again. Don’t be afraid to dive deep into the unknown seas buried within you. They might seem intimidating, but they are still a part of you. They are you. The unknown is seven times the known in you, but that doesn’t make it a bad thing. The best things in life are the ones unexpected.
